Geoffrey is a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College with a degree in theater. He attended the National Theater Institute (Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Conn), and after College, continued his training at the Central School in London, England.His Stage work includes Side Man (Broadway), Dinner With Friends, Julie Taymor's Titus Andronicus (Theater for A New Audience), Romeo and Juliet (Acting Company), Saturday Sunday Monday, Denial (Long Wharf), Talley's Folly (Cinci and St Louis) and Lone Star (London and Edinburgh, Scotland). On Television, he was a cast member in Spike TV's original miniseries, The Kill Point, and has been a guest star or recurring character on shows such as The Sopranos, Bored to Death, Mercy, Brotherhood, Life on Mars, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, Ed, Third Watch, The Bedford Diaries, The $treet, Queens' Supreme, and the soap operas All My Children and The Guiding Light. Film work includes Man on a Ledge Doug Liman's Fair Game, Michael Mann's Public Enemies, Disney's When in Rome, The Notorious Betty Page, One Last Thing, Suburban Girl, and Heavy Petting. Geof has also been featured in over 200 television and radio commercials, including the award-winning Let It Out campaign for Kleenex, in which he played the Good Listener.He began directing in college, and in London, he developed the play-reading series Readings at One at the Duke of York's Theater in the West End. There he directed the London premier reading of Allan Knee's The Man Who was Peter Pan, upon which the film Finding Neverland was based. Other directing credits include James Mclure's 1959 Pink Thunderbird (Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon), PREY (NYfringe 2010) Winterglass (an original piece), Cowboys II, by Sam Shepard, and Swampland, by Craig Sabin. He is the Creative Director of The Chaucerbury Group, a Talent-driven production company and studio in New York focusing new work for Digital out of Home, Film, and TV.His teaching experience includes the O'Neill, as well as group and private coaching in New York City, New Jersey, New Orleans, and Virginia. He is the artistic director at the Bergen County YJCC, and for three years was an Artist in Residence for Theater and Artistic Director for the JCC Association's Maccabi Artsfest. He was also on the Artistic Board of The-PAC in New Providence, NJ.Geoffrey spent three years as a licensed social worker at a long term care facility in Jersey City, NJ. He chairs a local committee called Helping Hands, overseeing 75 volunteers for a program that feeds and shelters homeless in Rockland County, NY during the winter. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Children Heritage Foundation, a group dedicated to literacy and empowerment of Haitian Youth.
